Two people can wear the same size and look completely different. The reason isn't the clothes — it's body proportions. Shoulder width, leg-to-torso ratio, waistline definition: these are what actually control how clothing looks on you. FITME measures yours precisely, without photos.
"Your size is a label. Your proportions are the truth."
📐
Proportions, Not Size Labels
S, M, L sizes tell you almost nothing about fit. Two people wearing the same size can have completely different shoulder widths, different leg-to-torso ratios, different waist-to-hip curves. That gap — between label and proportion — is exactly why clothes that technically fit often look wrong. FITME bypasses size labels entirely. Enter 3 measurements and get a precise breakdown of your actual body ratios, so you can dress for your proportions instead of a tag.
📐
Mathematical Precision
FITME applies the Golden Ratio (φ = 1.618) — the mathematical principle behind classical art and natural beauty — alongside Waist-to-Hip Ratio (WHR), shoulder-to-waist differential, and vertical proportion indices to generate your personalized FITME DNA Score™ (0–100). Unlike photo assessments that vary by lighting, angle, and camera quality, our measurement-based algorithm delivers consistent, reproducible results every time. Your body's true proportions don't change based on camera angle — and neither does your FITME score.
✨
Enhance Strengths, Conceal Weaknesses
Every body has natural strengths — proportions that, when dressed correctly, create a visually powerful silhouette. The challenge is knowing what your strengths actually are. FITME provides objective data about your unique proportions: leg-to-torso ratio, shoulder-to-hip width, and waistline definition. Armed with this data, you make intentional styling choices: A-line skirts to balance wider hips, structured shoulders to create breadth, high-waist cuts to elongate the leg line, vertical patterns to add height. These are data-driven strategies from your specific measurements — not generic body-type advice.

The Science of Body Proportions
Understanding your body isn't about fitting into a specific size—it's about understanding the unique geometry that makes you, you. At FITME, we use data-driven analysis to help you decode your proportions.

Horizontal Structure
Horizontal Balance
The ratio between your shoulders, waist, and hips determines your silhouette. Whether you lean towards an inverted triangle or a pear shape, knowing these ratios helps you choose cuts that create visual harmony.
📏
Vertical Structure
Vertical Proportions
Your leg-to-torso ratio dictates where your waistline should sit. People with shorter torsos benefit from mid-rise cuts, while those with longer torsos can use high-waisted styles to elongate their silhouette.

The Golden Ratio
Classical aesthetics often refer to the golden ratio (1:1.618) as a benchmark for balance. We compare your measurements to these statistical averages to identify your unique strengths and styling opportunities.
Why Measurements Over Photos?
Photos can be deceptive due to lens distortion, camera angles, and lighting. Numbers, however, don't lie. By using precise measurements, FITME provides a 100% private, objective analysis that works regardless of how you're posing or what you're currently wearing. This data-first approach ensures that your styling recommendations are based on your actual physical structure, providing a reliable blueprint for your wardrobe.
FITME is an independent education site: a free browser-based proportion tool plus original fit guides written by founder Changyong Lee. We explain WHR, shoulder width, leg-to-torso balance, fabric drape, and online sizing — with FAQs, measurement walkthroughs, and styling notes grounded in real shopping experience.
I am 175 cm, 78 kg, usually 2XL oversize with a 32 inch waist — and still returned jeans because the waist gaped while the hips fit. That gap between label size and body ratios is why I measure segments (hand span, shoulder, leg line) and why this site exists. Guides like how to measure WHR and 2XL oversize fit come from that workflow, not generic templates.

Frequently asked questions
Is FITME free?
Yes — the calculator and articles are free. No signup. Measurements stay on your device.
Do you save my measurements?
No server storage. Data lives in your browser session only unless you choose to save locally on your device.
How is this different from S / M / L?
Size labels ignore shoulder width, WHR, and leg-to-torso ratio. FITME uses your numbers to suggest silhouettes that match your proportions — not a single tag.
Who writes the guides?
Changyong Lee (solo founder, South Korea). Each post includes practical notes from measuring and shopping with my own body as reference.
